Getting started
Install Immos, understand the first boot, and find your way around the desktop.
- Introduction — Immos is a Linux desktop whose operating system cannot be modified — not by you, not by an update, not by a stray script. Here is what that buys you.
- Install Immos — Boot the installer from a USB stick and click through the wizard. Prefer a terminal, or setting up a VM? Write the finished system image directly.
- First boot — The first start does a little setup work that never happens again. It takes seconds, and then you are at a desktop.
- The desktop tour — Plasma 6 on Wayland, kept small on purpose. Here is what ships, and what deliberately does not.
